We are emailed almost daily regarding education and training and after the success of BarbersRide and many seminars across the world we are proud to introduce The Hard Grind Workshop which will be held at our flagship Dundee store. Each workshop will be held by The Hard Grind Creative Team and will cover a range of topics with the aim of passing on our knowledge in the industry and business to budding barbers and experienced stylists alike.

WORKSHOP FAQ

When are the workshops?

The next scheduled Hard Grind Workshop will be announced soon. Tickets are available by clicking the button below. If there is anything else you would like to know, contact us HERE.

Will there REALLY be one-on-one tuition?

We deliberately keep the amount of spaces available at each event small so that each participant will receive as much attention as they need including one-on-one tuition. There is also the option to observe only so that if you are not quite confident enough to get straight into cutting you can sit back and watch others until you are ready.

Do I need any experience?

We are there to help everybody, regardless of experience. After all, every day is a school day right? We would recommend that if you have absolutely no experience cutting hair that your first event should be observation only so that you can really concentrate on basics and understand how barbering works before committing to one-on-one tuition.

Do I need to bring any equipment with me?

If you have a full day ticket including one-on-one training bring ALL your tools. At the end of the day, it's your tools that are going to be your best friend as you delve further into barbering so why not get real friendly with them? All styling products will be provided courtesy of our sponsors at American Crew.

Am I going to be under the spotlight?

If you know Hard Grind, you know that we are so laid back we're horizontal. Yes, there will be people watching you as you will be watching others. We aim to provide the friendliest atmosphere possible so you have no need to feel nervous. If you do, remember we have Brewdog Punk IPA on tap...

What will I learn?

You can take whatever you want from our workshops. We are here to help you learn the way you want to learn. During the workshop we will pick specific topics to cover which we would urge you to ask as many questions as you can about. However, during one-on-one time if there is something you really want to ask, we are there to answer. (Barbering related of course!)

Can I bring a camera?

We'd be disappointed in you if you didn't! Take as many snaps as you like to document the day the way you want. There will also be a photographer there taking pictures so if you forget your camera, it's no big deal.
